January 2026 — and the beginning of a hand extended in love.
What can we do when we see children struggling to stay in school, young people without opportunities, and elderly people who need someone to care?
We were a small group of community members in Uganda who decided that instead of accepting these challenges as normal, we would act. What started with reaching out to vulnerable people and listening to their needs grew into a vision for an organisation that could bring people together to create practical, lasting solutions.
The People We Noticed
Children who attended school but lacked basic learning materials, food or stable support at home. Young people with the ability and determination to succeed but without the skills, resources or connections to get started.
Elderly people experiencing loneliness, poverty and limited support — remaining largely unseen.
The communities were not without potential. With encouragement, skills, education and the right opportunities, they could participate actively in building better lives. That is what we set out to do.
Lasting change often begins with one person being seen,
heard, and given an opportunity.
What Was Missing
What communities often lacked was a connection to education, skills, opportunities, care and the people willing to help. Our role would be to bring together individuals, donors, organisations and development partners to create sustainable opportunities.
We would work with communities — not simply for them — and focus on turning compassion into practical action that creates lasting change.
The Name
The name represents our commitment to reaching out with compassion, care, and practical support to people who are vulnerable and in need.

What We Offer
Our first act was not to build something new. It was to listen — to the vulnerable children, young people, elderly people and families in our communities, to the needs they named, and to the futures they described.
What we heard confirmed what we had already sensed: people were not passive. They were working, hoping, and waiting for someone to believe in them.
We became a hand extended in love — not a hand-out, but a pathway of support, skills, education, and opportunity.
Hands — because we reach out with compassion, care and practical support to people who are vulnerable and in need.
Love — because every person deserves dignity, opportunity and a chance to build a better future.
Our purpose remains simple: to extend a hand of love, restore hope, and help vulnerable people build a better future.
The story of Hands Of Love Foundation is not a story we tell. It is a story we are still in the middle of.
They were already hoping. We chose to help connect them to what could help them go further.
What This Looks Like
A child who was about to leave school, staying. A young person learning a skill they can earn from. An elderly person receiving a visit and knowing they are not forgotten.
None of these are grand gestures. They are the quiet outcomes of compassion turned into practical action.

Our Journey
Hands Of Love Foundation was established as a community-based initiative supporting vulnerable children, youth and elderly people.
